Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

UltraMonitor is an uptime monitoring service. This policy explains what information we collect when you use ultramonitor.app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using the service you agree to this policy.

01Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your name, email address, and workspace name. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes — we never see or store your plain-text password.

Monitoring configuration. The URLs and endpoints you ask us to monitor, your check-frequency settings, and your alert destinations (email addresses and Slack webhook URLs).

Check results. Response times, status codes, and uptime history generated by checking your monitors, so we can show you graphs and send alerts.

Billing information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by our payment provider. We receive and store a reference to your subscription and invoices — we do not store your full card details.

Usage data. Basic technical logs such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and reliable.

02How we use your information

  • To run your monitors and send you alerts when things go down or recover.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To send essential service emails (incident alerts, invoices, security notices). We do not sell your data and do not send marketing email without your consent.

03Third-party services

We share the minimum necessary data with the providers that run the service:

  • Hosting and database infrastructure to store your account and check data.
  • A payment processor for paid plans (card details go directly to them, never to us).
  • Slack and email delivery, only when you configure those alert channels.

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms and only on our instructions.

04Data retention

We keep your account and monitoring history while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your monitors, check history, and personal information within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes (such as invoices).

05Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users if a breach puts their data at risk.

06Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Access and correct your account information from the console.
  • Export or delete your monitors and history.
  • Delete your account entirely by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law (such as POPIA in South Africa or the GDPR in the EU). Contact us to exercise them.

07Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

08Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the console before they take effect.
